Happy Birthday ~ Recruiting Special

Build a Bear Class at Garner NC Library

On Saturday I am offering a children's class using our Build a Bear die cut at the library in Garner, NC. I know the children will love it. They will make two bears and my downline Jessica and I have already made the sleeping bags out of the top note die cut and they are so cute. When they finish they will keep one bear and sleeping bag and we will donate the other one to the Ronald McDonald house in Chapel Hill. I am looking forward to Saturday. Brown Apron with Build a Bear and Flowers

My friend and team member Polly gave me her brown Stampin UP apron recently and I wanted to spiffy it up a little bit. I saw so many cute ideas at leadership. Jill Olsen had a cute flowers on her apron and another presenter from Canada had a build a bear on her apron pocket so I decided to combine both ideas and make my new apron really cute and this is what I came up with. What do you think. I used felt for the build a bear and scrap fabric for the build a bear clothes and cut the flowers with the pennant scallops plus a dash of summer sun corduroy buttons to show off those flowers. Big Shot Build a Bear- Mommy & Me Class- Sept 8th

At convention last month, I had a brainstorm about a new class I could offer when I saw these cute tins. They are great to keep a set of the Build-a-Bear pieces together for play. Today, I was reminded of that "brainstorm" when I saw a similiar one on Patty Bennett's blog and she gave me the idea about the ribbon that makes it easier to open the tin. I love this little bear. He reminds me of my boys when they were little. They would try anything to not go to bed and continue to play with their toys at night. Ahhhhhhhhhhh memories. Be sure to sign up for this class before September 6th. This is a great "Mommy and Me" class or fun for yourself and bring you back to your childhood (we have girl and boy clothes to choose from.) Build a Bear

I have been playing with my Build-a-Bear die cuts. It is soooooo much fun. I was working on clothes to dress him and as I placed the green jacket and denim pants on him I said, "Oh, wouldn't a white t-shirt with a heart on it be cute?" Then I thought about red "converse" tennis shoes. Now, isn't that just the cutest? I cannot wait to have some more time to "play". He is so darn much fun to play with. I will be offering a class in September and you will use the Build-a-Bear die on with the BIG SHOT and you will receive 1/2 package of Designer Series Paper (Pawsitively Prints) from the Holiday Mini Catalog to make your clothes and a tin to decorate and put it all in. What a cute gift idea for a child or those young at heart. See this little sample I worked on last night and stay tuned for many more. I guess it brought back those memories as a child when I played paper dolls with my grandmother. :)
