NC Demos August 2026 Blog Hop - Shimmer & Shine

Hello everyone, welcome to our August 2026 NC Demo Blog Hop!  Our theme/challenge this month is Shimmer & Shine. It can be any type card or project as long as it sparkles or shimmers or shines.  If you are starting our hop with me be sure to check back with Tina's blog to see what fun card/project she created.

My project uses packing tape on top of card stock to give you a shinny look.

My project is not fancy but it does shine.  I used packing tape to add to my card stock.  I think I saw that idea on FB from Wendy Lee.

Step 1 - add clear packing tape to your card stock. I used Berry Burst Card Stock!

Yan see the shine in the photo. I ran my taped piece of Berry Burst card stock through my mini Cut and Embossing Machine using the Party Alphabet Dies.

After I cut my letters out, I started with my base Bubble Bath, then a layer of Berry Burst,  added the Party Banner layer using the Velvet Meadow DSP and wrapped Bubble Bath ribbon around those two pieces that were glued together; I centered the HB (happy birthday) across the ribbon and added bling that was in my stash.  I hope it gives you a new idea for adding a little shine to your next card.

NC DEMO JULY 2026 BLOG HOP - IT'S A CHALLENGE

Welcome to this month's NC DEMO BLOG HOP - IT'S A CHALLENGE.  This was our challenge, we had to use the following:

Punches *
Paper Piecing *
DSP, Foil, Specialty Paper, etc...
You color palette should include colors from the Regals collection *
You project theme should be Congratulations
 *

( I did not have Designer paper so I missed that one)  :(

You may have hopped over from Tina's blog here!  If not make sure to go back and look at all the fun ideas.

I already had a card in mind that I needed to make for my nephew Ryan's 2026 graduation this year.  PLUS his school colors are green and gold. That would fit our Regal Color Collection with Shaded Spruce and Crushed Curry.  So I had a good start but I didn't have dsp that would work with graduation or colors.

NOTE: I did not have the right size alphabet so I used the retired Alphabet A La  Mode.  I do love the large Party Alphabet dies but they would not fit on my card.  I needed a business type envelope for it to fit and I didn't have one.  I hope Ryan likes it, since I used his school colors.

NC DEMO JUNE 2026 BLOG HOP - "LETS CELEBRATE SUMMER"

Welcome to our JUNE NC DEMO BLOG HOP! Going with our theme of Celebrating Summer!

Summer is one of my favorite times of the year! There always seems to be something to celebrate—from backyard barbecues and picnics to family reunions, parades, and fireworks. One of my favorite summer holidays is the Fourth of July. I love seeing homes decorated in red, white, and blue and spending time with family and friends.

When I heard this month's blog hop theme was Favorite Summer Events, I knew exactly what I wanted to share. Instead of creating a card, I decided to share a patriotic home décor project that can be displayed throughout the summer that I made earlier in the month.

Using the Party Alphabet Dies, I created a USA banner in red, white, and blue. Each letter is attached to its own banner, and I added navy stars for a festive touch. I chose to attach the banners to a rustic twig that I spray painted white. I also hung a few stars from smaller twigs to give it movement and a whimsical look. I attached the twig to an antique spool covered with retired burlap ribbon and  accented with red ribbon at the top.

I love combining natural elements with paper crafting, and this project came together just the way I imagined. It would look great on a mantel, entry table, or even on a covered porch while celebrating Independence Day.

One of the things I enjoy most about Stampin' Up! products is that they aren't just for cards. With a little imagination, you can create beautiful home décor, party decorations, gifts, scrapbook pages, and so much more.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope this project inspires you to create something special for your own summer celebrations.

If you arrived here from Tracie's Blog, I hope you enjoyed her beautiful project. If you're just joining the hop, be sure to go back and visit everyone's creations—you won't want to miss all the wonderful inspiration!

JULY STAMP CAMP!!!

If you live in the Vero Beach FL area we would love to have you join us for Stamp Camp each month, we meet the first Saturday of the month except when a holiday lands on that date, like July we will meet July 11th.

Last month we had a fabulous time at stamp camp. Everyone loved the cards and the food is always good. If you like what you see join us July 11 for another fun creative day.

We have some amazing cooks in our group and I asked Peggy to send me her recipe for Biscoff Gooey Cake that she was making for dessert. It was handwritten so I used ai to convert it to print and I when I put it in word and rearranged it so it would fit in my recipe card die they turned out great.

I love the camaraderie that we all have and how everybody helps each other out. It’s not just about stamping. It’s about friendships and relationships.

To register contact me before  7/6/26 so I can prepare for you.  You will be making 6 cards and this month we are using the Fern & Flora Bundle.  Cost is $42 and it includes some products in your fee.  We meet from 10-2 at Rockridge Clubhouse and everyone brings a snack to share.  Let me know if you are interested.

NC DEMO MAY 2026 BLOG HOP - "SKETCH IT OUT"

Welcome to our NC DEMO BLOG HOP - our theme this month is  "Sketch It Out!" We will be using the sketch below!

I am excited to use this sketch, it has been a hot minute since I created from a card sketch.  You may have hopped from Kelly's blog and I know she had something fun for you if you didn't see her project yet make sure you go back to see it.

I chose one of the new In Colors - Hydrangea Hue (I love most blue colors so that is probably not a surprise if you follow my blog.)   I also love this little Cutest Crew stamp set that in an On Line Exclusive set.  Our instructions were not to get bogged down with the placement or number of the circles and rectangles.  I do like that new In Color DSP  dots and stripes can be a lot of fun to use. I just used one of the dogs on the front but there is a row of them, plus cats and birds.   What is your favorite new color?

Inside card

I saw someone use the paw die on the inside of a card (I can't remember who that was) I like how the Hydrangea Hue color shows through the die.  I hope you liked my card and don't forget to hop to Amanda the next demonstrator on our hop!
