Big Shot Challenge

About 11 years ago when I lived in Victorville, CA I met another demo on line Terri Tank that was from that area but at the time was overseas and we chatted on line with a yahoo group called SU Sisters. We have remained friends ever since.
Last week we were chatting on Facebook and she seem to be in a slump and I gave her a challenge to make something using the big shot and new stamp sets and colors from the new catalog. Well tonight was the reveal and I first have to say that when I gave that challenge I was thinking about a thank you gift for one of my friends that happens to be a customer of mine and she is also a Mary Kay consultant. She likes to make little gift packets for her customers and one day recently she told me how perfect pink pirouette and black went with the MK theme. So I used the challenge I gave to Terri to make these projects except that I did not use in colors since the pink pirouette was so perfect and I used a stamp set that is no longer in the catalog but Stampin up demonstrators can still get them.
Thanks for looking and next week I will follow the rules we set. :)

Cupcake Banner and other fun stuff

Going along with my Cupcake theme this month, I made this cute banner for someones birthday. I love using big shot dies in a different way than intended. I used the two tags die and folded over right before the cut line so my banner fold would go over the ribbon. This was the end of the banner and I stamped Happy Birthday on the little banner that comes on the new Petal Cone die, then sort of scrunched it up and used glue dots to give it that 3-d look. I love this little spring tag, I made this to show one of my clubs. I used the Easter Blossom for this cute tag. Hope you like it! I needed a sympathy card this week and came up with this one using one of the free hostess sets in the occasions mini (a slice of life) NOTE: I have downloaded this 4 times and turned it different ways and I do not know why it shows up turned. Sorry for the dificulty to view but I thought it was worth looking at for sure. Last week I needed a birthday card for a friend at work and I did not have any stamping on the front but did have a sentiment on the inside. I loved the new fun flowers die and our designer series paper. Fun to mix and match colors and designs to make your flower. This flower is cute as a bag tag also. Thanks for stopping by, blessings, Frances

Yum more chocolate!

I wanted to share this little match box I made with the big shot. I love that machine, plus my next favorite tool My Digital Studio! You may ask what are you talking about I don't see any scrapbook pages or calendars or cards etc.

WEllllllllll look closer, I downloaded the DSP Love Impressions from My Digital Studio and put two different images on one piece of paper and ran my office labels through my printer and then took those darn cute labels and wrapped them around the Hershey's Nuggets candy and voila you have a cute little gift.

Kay and Gail this is for you hope you liked it. Thanks for stopping by. Now for the rest of this week I have to finish my swaps.

When they finish they will keep one bear and sleeping bag and we will donate the other one to the Ronald McDonald house in Chapel Hill. I am looking forward to Saturday. Flower Pins

This was the second project that we made at stamp club yesterday. I love these pins. For these we used hot glue instead of stitching them together. We all liked what we did and tolerated the little hot glue burns on our fingers (worth the sacrifice) The first one Barbara made: Brenda's project Frances' project Gloria's project Shirley's project

BAH HUMBUG

This is a card I made for my boss who is always saying Bah Humbug throughout the year. On the inside I typed Merry Christmas to the nicest Scrooge around... from all of us. I got the idea from Carrie Gaskin who is a genius with paper piecing. I have to tell you on the glue part, less is more. The first one I tried looked like a 4 year old did the glueing. :) Merry Christmas and safe travels and remember the Reason for the Season Christ our Lord!
