February 14 = Heart Happiness. I don't know about you but Valentines Day is a special time to let that special person in your life know how you feel about them. I typically go with Real Red for valentines but this year I went with the pinks. This is the sample in the Occasions Catalog showing tags using the Heart Happiness set. I decided to make cards out of them and change the color up.
These are the 3 cards we made at Stampin' Bunco last week. I love pink and gray together. It has a softer look that red and white and black. When the ladies came in to play bunco they were looking at the samples and they couldn't decide which they liked most but definitely loved them all. They each got to make one we have 12 players and at 3 tables so they can sit at whatever table they want to in regards to which card they wanted to make.

January was calendar month. Everywhere you look you have new calendars. These happened to be from 2016 left over from a friends office (they were going into the recycle bin and she asked me if I wanted them) Of course I did. On the front page of calendars where the picture is quiet large, that is the part I used for the envelope. I cut out the small image on the back of the calendar that is a miniature of the large page where the calendar is.
I know these are two different birds but the colors match wonderfully and they are both tropical so I went for it. I just stamped the Flamingo several times and cut one on a different piece of card stock and fussy cut it but use the legs of the one I stamped on the large white piece of card stock. I knew I would not be able to cut those skinny legs from the flamingo. :)
The calendar piece is a Roseate spoonbill and the stamp is a Flamingo from our Pop of Paradise stamp set on page 85 of the annual catalog.

Stylish Stems Framelits Dies make this card adorable. I found it on Pinterest from (Janice Urke) but changed the sentiment since I did not get the bundle and didn't have the stamp. My stamp club girls loved it.

Another fun stamp set Cool Treats~ This one reminds me of my childhood when the ice cream truck ("Mr. Softie") came in our neighborhood in the summer. We all had our favorite flavors and the dream sickle was one of mine. It looks perfect using the In Color Peekaboo Peach ink pad and matching ribbon and card stock. I added a little wink of Stella to make it sparkle.

Sometimes when we find and stamp with customers ( most of the time actually) they become our friends. Bunny recently found me on line and also came to one of my classes and shares her ideas with me. This is Bunny working on a card at one of my classes. So sorry I did not get her with her head up. Bunny is an outstanding stamper, I love her creativity!

This past weekend I made a Thankful Tree for my display for the Salvation Army Crop. I am so blessed and so thankful for everything. I always want to show my friends that stamping is not always about cards. I typed my blessings on the computer and then stamped over them with For All Things stamp set and hand cut them out and tied to a branch and added to an antique spindle. I made the little banner on the computer and stamped with same stamp set as well at the little leaves from the stamp set that was in September's Paper Pumpkin. I added for a bit of color with some die cut leaves from a retired leaf big shot die. I enjoyed making it and others liked it. This is a very simple wreath and so easy.
I cut out the hearts from Hearts a Flutter Framelits and hot glued to wreath
and added the Welcome banner. You may recognize the wreath from the fall
leaves wreath I made last fall. I simply used my hair dryer and melted
the hot glue and the leaves came right off and now I have hearts and you will
see other things in the future.
On Saturday I had a team meeting and I love getting and
sharing new ideas. Elaine had a really cute card and I changed it with my
favorite colors and dsp and made it my own. Thanks Elaine for your
inspiration.
