Masculine Thank You Card

This week I needed a masculine thank you card (which I might add is not so easy for me) but here is what I came up with. Hope you like it. The fun part was stamping those bees on the DSP paper. Sort of hard to see in the picture but they are there. Thanks for looking, have a great weekend.

Team Meeting, Work Area and American Idol!!

This week I have been preparing for my team meeting on Saturday and besides the paper work I am working on my swap and my make & take for the girls and other door prizes and awards and goodies. First, I have a confession to make I am addicted to American Idol............we have a local contestant Scotty McCreery (go Scotty) so this week I have been watching it with my husband in the den and then afterward I go to my stamp studio and work on my projects. We stampers do our best work later in the evening right (who am I kidding, early, I mean really early in the morning after 12am.) But I have a day job that requires that I get some amount of sleep so tonight I decided to clear a little space for myself in the den. I have this little desk in the corner under the stairwell and it just collects stuff (mail etc) so I decided to clear it off and make a little work space for myself.

I got my inspiration from the Stampin' Connection (a site for Stampin' UP! demonstrators) that had a picture from the home office with displays of little vignettes. I can't find it right now but will in the future and put it on my blog. I placed some dsp paper from Greenhouse Gala on the back on the desk (I ran out of the same paper so I had to piece it together) I brought down my little lamp and my new chicken wire frame to display my samples and fun stuff. I just love my new space where I can work and talk to my sweetie and watch tv with him. Thanks for stopping by.
Do you need help finding a space for your stamping area. Contact me and I will help you create your own space. You would be surprised at the spaces I have used for stamping/crafting before (a closet; back porch (sun room); 1/2 bath- actually it was never a bathroom just was ready to be made into one if someone did the plumbing etc. 1/8 of a guest/office/craft room. My motto is where there is a will there is a space just waiting for you to find it. Contact me, I can help you find it.

Chalkboard Decor' Elements- "Notes" FREE Sab item on page 9

This was one of the first things I ordered in January for my SAB free item. I put off making it because I was not sure what to do with it. This week I went to a craft store and got black foam core board and applied the Chalkboard Decor' Elements (Notes) to it and used my crop-a-dile to punch holes at the top and thread the black and white ribbon through the holes so I would have a way to put it on the wall. I love it, can't wait for my stamp club to see it tomorrow. You can have it too! You can also put it directly on your wall and use regular chalk on it. Thanks for looking. Contact me to place an order or go to my website where you can order 24-7. www.franceswagner.stampinup.net

Hostess Gifts- Cute Bookmarks

I was looking around my stamp studio today and saw a full spool of chocolate chip ribbon that retired and I had forgotten I had it. Since I just got the new "Fun Flowers" Bigz L die #121812 on page 39 of the Occasions Mini Catalog, I thought I would make some cute flowers I saw at the SU Leadership Conference in January. I made book marks and they are really cute. I decided that this would be my hostess gift for the remainder of SAB. Since spring is around the corner (I hope); this will be the perfect little gift. If you are on my workshop calendar from now through March you will get one! :) Thanks for stopping by. Contact me to book your workshop and get your cute bookmark! 919-334-8800 or wagstamp@bellsouth.net

Cupcake Banner and other fun stuff

Going along with my Cupcake theme this month, I made this cute banner for someones birthday. I love using big shot dies in a different way than intended. I used the two tags die and folded over right before the cut line so my banner fold would go over the ribbon. This was the end of the banner and I stamped Happy Birthday on the little banner that comes on the new Petal Cone die, then sort of scrunched it up and used glue dots to give it that 3-d look. I love this little spring tag, I made this to show one of my clubs. I used the Easter Blossom for this cute tag. Hope you like it! I needed a sympathy card this week and came up with this one using one of the free hostess sets in the occasions mini (a slice of life) NOTE: I have downloaded this 4 times and turned it different ways and I do not know why it shows up turned. Sorry for the dificulty to view but I thought it was worth looking at for sure. Last week I needed a birthday card for a friend at work and I did not have any stamping on the front but did have a sentiment on the inside. I loved the new fun flowers die and our designer series paper. Fun to mix and match colors and designs to make your flower. This flower is cute as a bag tag also. Thanks for stopping by, blessings, Frances

Febuary is Cupcake Month

For the month of February I am having a "CUPCAKE" theme! So if you book a party you will for sure be using that fun new "Build a Cupcake" punch page 22 in the Occasions Mini Catalog along with the pompom trim on page 35. At leadership one of our make and takes was the card on the left below and when I was working on my club cards I decided to of course to incorporate my cupcake theme with the same design. I love the free ribbon you can get for spending $50 along with matching buttons (not shown) from the SAB catalog. So here is what I came up with. Thanks for looking.

Circle Punch Tag- cute cute cute

This is a little tutorial to show you how to use your circle punch in a different way. Of course you could use your larger circle punches for larger words. Enjoy! Thanks for stopping by!

New Hampshire Snow Pics - MDS

My son Chris and his family lives in New Hampshire and as most of you know they got slammed this week with tons of snow and here are some pictures. I pulled them from my email and made some scrapbook pages in MDS in about 10 minutes. I love how fast and easy that program is. Call me and I can demonstrate it to you at your house or mine. Isn't that the cutest kid you have ever seen? Thanks for looking.
