Hey Chick- get it now while you can!!!

Last week I posted a hen and baby chicks and some have asked for directions.  Here is a photo and I will try to make it understandable. By the way I want to give Candy Michael full credit for this adorable design.  Thanks Candy. My stamp campers loved it last weekend.

Below is a drawing that may help.

Size is 5"x7.5" and free hand the hen (after you make the pattern fold a 12x12 piece of designer paper in 1/2 and cut out hen) use the rest of the 12x12 for a layer on the 3x3 cards

Strip of window sheet 6"x3/4"  staple on the inside on each end
Punches:
*Tree Builder branches for the waddle and comb in real red
Glue behind the head so they both show from the front
*Blossom Builder largest flower petal for wing with coordinating DSP or card stock of your choice
*Hand cut a triangle for beak and color a pearl with sharpie for eye
*The button was from my retired stash of buttons

* Cut two 3"x6" white cards and   fold in half
* Layer a 2.75" x 2.75" crumb cake or your color choice for next            layer
* Layer 2.5" x2.5" designer paper from your left over paper from when you cut the hen out
* Stamp one of the chicks on an angle on a 1.5/8" stitched square
add color to the chick on the beak and waddle (real red and                 pumpkin pie markers)
* Hang the 3x3 cards over the window sheet inside the hen

*Holder that did not work so well for me
White card stock 2"x 2.5" on 2.5" side score at .50" and 1.50"
Cut grass from the Basket Builder Framelit Dies #143228
or you could use the fringe scissors (I used Old Olive Card Stock        2"x2.5" for grass)

I hope this helps you create wonderful chicks..  You still have time to order the FREE Hey Chicks stamp set when you order $50 from the Stampin' UP! catalogs by Friday 3/31/17.  Contact me if you have any questions.
