I look forward to the NC SU Demo's blog hop each month. This month our theme is to use stamp sets from the Occasions catalog and using "in colors". This is my card, I am using Beautiful Ride stamp set #140738.
We had a VW BUG in the 60's and I loved driving it and this card brought back many memories.
This past week my son and grandson where here to visit and while driving from one place to another I would hear my grandson say "Punch Buggy" and I automatically held my arm. If you know what that means leave me a message. If not you probably are a lot younger than me. :)
Did you notice that cute design paper layer. That is from Birthday Bouquet DSP. I love this color Mint Macaron and the coordinating Baker's Twine that comes in 2 colors. I used the aqua painter with ink from the lid of the Mint Macaron ink pad. That little dog reminds me of our Sadie.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop by the rest of the fabulous blogs from the North Carolina SU Demos to get more great ideas.

Frances, I love everything about your card! I know exactly what you mean about holding your arm, cringing, or trying to get out of "punch" reach when a young passenger sees a Bug! When my son was younger, I got punched too many times. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your card. You did a great job of coloring in the car. I love that set!
ReplyDeleteLove the soft colors on your card, Frances. I also remember the VW bug sighting although we used to "pinch" instead of "punch." Your card takes me back many years - an old boyfriend had a light blue VW back in the day!
ReplyDeleteadorable! I do know what Punch Buggy is and often reminded my best friend when we were young :-)
ReplyDeleteI am thinking I like this stamp more and more...
I love the bug!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, the "Doodle Bug" is back. Love the colors on your card and this set does bring back memories.
