Gently Falling

School has started here in Florida and I feel like I am ready for fall now.  I have used the shaving cream technique with the By the Tide set, from my last workshop and thought fall leaves would look good too.

Fall may be one of the things I miss most about North Carolina, except for family and friends of course (the changing of the leaves in the fall)  I remembered a beautiful maple tree outside of the mall and it had such brilliant colors in oranges and greens. So that was my inspiration to make this card.
When you are using the shaving cream technique it is easy to make your colors muddy when you mix the reinkers to much.  I wanted to show you the difference the one on the right below looks to muddy to me so I used the one on the left.

Then I gently layed card stock on top of the inked shaving cream and when you pick up the card stock the design stays  (it is like magic), next scrape off the shaving cream and set the cardstock aside and let it dry before stamping on it.

I used Early Expresso ink to stamp the outline stamps from the Gently Falling set, on top of the newly inked card stock.

Ink: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso
