New Look!

Looks like my blog got a new makeover!  I am trying something new with my blog. I needed a change. When I was home for Thanksgiving I got used to everyone in my family calling me Fran (that's the reason for the name change).

There is a great story behind that. I had always been called Frances until my sweet brother Ray got married and his new mother in law was named Frances too so since she was older my family started calling me Fran. So I thought I would give it a try. Crazy I know.

I am prepping for a party for tomorrow and don't have anything stamped for you however wanted to share this picture of my new mug, that I love. My daughter in law had one like it and I found one on line at Pier 1 and ordered it.  It makes me happy for sure.

Check back on Sunday for some new stamped items. I just got my new Occasions Catalog products in while I was on vacation so there is plenty to play with. Thanks for stopping by!

Thanksgiving Vacation Part 2

Family is so important in our lives and Thanksgiving is a time for thinking about your blessings and the love of family. I felt privileged to be able to visit this year. I wanted to share my family and friends with you.

My sister Cricket on the left, my brother Ray and seated my mom Louise and of course me. We had our Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday night (the best time that worked for everyone.) Since we had 16 family members we ate in the garage.  When we were taking pictures we forgot to look at the background.  :(

 My mom always makes everything look nice. I had to laugh because she was looking at a diagram she had made for the placement of the tables and chairs and food dishes.  I do the same thing when I have events. I guess we are a lot alike. :)

Who doesn't love babies?  I had not met this sweet neice Raelyn. 

This is a sweet picture of the young mama's taking care of their sweet babies, standing it my niece Amber (Raelyn's mom) and seated is Marley and her mom Jennifer.

The boys Ryan and Braxton.  Braxton belongs to Amber above and Ryan's mom is Ashleigh and I don't think I have a picture of her.

After dinner Susie and I sat down and looked at the hostess rewards for her on line Stampin' UP! party she had this past week.  Susie and I trade parties about twice a year. I have a Thirty One party for her and she has a Stampin' UP! party for me.  Susie is so creative.

The next day Rich and I went to Williamsburg, VA and the plan was to go to Busch Gardens to Christmas Town but it was cold and raining so we scratched that idea. :(  bummer we were looking forward to it.  The next day Rich was going to play golf but again we had a rainy day however it did not change my plans to meet with some high school friends for lunch.

 

 My friend Mona from Colonial Heights picked me up from my hotel and gave me a ride to Newport News to meet the girls at Anderson Greenhouse and restaurant.  What a fun place and yummy food.  It was great to see my friends from high school.  Thanks Faye for arranging the lunch for us.

I'm Back!!! Thanksgiving Vacation Part 1

We just got back from an 11 day Thanksgiving vacation!  What a trip.  First stop was Raleigh NC to see our son Eric and his wife Chrissy.  We had dinner and played our favorite board game Cranium!  The girls won!  We usually play at Christmas when we are together but since we moved to Florida we don't get a chance to see them at Christmas it was a great time together and great memories too.

 The winners!!! Chrissy was my partner! :)

Eric and Rich working on their strategy! Normally the guys beat us so this was a nice change for us. :)

Next stop dinner with some of my friends in the Raleigh area, Jacque and Donna and Donna's husband Randy not pictured.

My mom's birthday was the 25th and she loved my present.  I had an apron made from one of my Dad's shirts!

She said it was her favorite shirt of Dads. 

Next my sweet sister making my favorite dessert chocolate pie!  YUMMMM

Bunco Night!  Mama and her friends play bunco every Wednesday night and it was fun playing with them. Since it was her birthday a few people joined us to help her celebrate.

Home Decor

This week I have been working on a framed art piece for the holidays for our home.  I first saw a sample on line from LeeAnn Greff and it was amazing. I created something similar using the products I had on hand.  Now I have to find a 12x12 frame for it.  Let me know what you think!  Leave a comment and I will send you a hand stamped card in the mail.
