Holiday Catalog Team card Swap

When we get new catalogs, I offer to swap cards with my team mates.  I am always love to see what they come up with.  Not everyone swaps but for those that do they are always in for a great surprise and great samples to show their friends and customers (that is most likely the same thing- first they become your customer and you end up being great friends.) That is what I love most about this little business I have, it has brought so many people in my life.  Some start out coming to a friends Stampin' UP! party and and attending my classes and some even end up being a member on my team.  Sometimes it is a demonstrator that I meet at different conferences and we have been friends for years even though we don't live next door to each other or even talk to each other all the time but we have that creative common denominator.

On to the swap. This was my swap card I sent to my team members.  I love that I used a business envelope and folded in the middle.  I also collected sunflower seeds from my sunflower plants and shared them with the team.

The is the envelope with the card and seed packet.

This is the back of the envelope.  Love the washi tape.

Inside of card.

Connie Gentry made this adorable desk calendar with the post it notes. She used the Quilted ????  Connie lives in North Carolina.

Jess Davis's card - I love the cat and the embellishments she used.  Jess lives in Pennsylvania.

This is Leslie's fun card, she is crazy about that pig. She made an adorable card recently to send to her sister that had knee surgery.  Leslie lives in Tennessee.

Here is the awesome card I was mentioning before.

This is a pretty card that Linda Pearce made, she made me want that stamp set.  I love how she use the copper paper. Linda lives in Virginia.

Thanks for stopping by!  Check out EVENTS on my Facebook Business page HERE and join my virtual Stampin' UP! Party Sunday Night 8pm There will be prizes and videos and fun ideas.

NC Demo September Blog Hop -Holiday Card Swap

I am not using the theme of my favorite technique for the blog hop but hope you will enjoy my Holiday Card Swap I was in this month.  We make 20 cards just a like and mail them to Jen a demonstrator in Texas  and she sorts them and sends back 20 different cards with new ideas I can use with my friends/customers.  Since I live in Florida I felt it was my duty to use Beachy Christmas.  :)

Check out the rest of the NC SU Demo Blogs.

Be sure to contact me if you want to have a Stampin' UP! party with your friends!  We will be making Christmas cards as well as fall cards.  NOTE: OCT 29TH another fabulous Christmas Card Stamp Camp- Sign up today to save your spot.  Contact me at wagstamps@yahoo.com or check out my Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/WagStamps/

First Thursday Card Class

Each month on the first Thursday I offer a class at Rockridge Clubhouse.  This month we had to delay because of Hurricane Irma's visit.  We were glad to reschedule and stamp together again.  Stamping is really a great stress reliever.  It felt really good to know my friends were safe and happy to be together again. Each month we make 2 cards and either a 3d item of some sort.  Contact me to reserve your spot for Oct 5th.

I cased the two cards below: The sunflower card from Rosanne Mulhern and the Cat card from Susan Campfield from Pinterest.  I love sunflowers and who doesn't love the bold black and white checks what a fabulous combination.  The cat was made using the eclipse technique and I love it.   I created the cat banner, which I am getting a lot of reaction from either cat lovers or Halloween lovers. I am going to make a Christmas cat banner soon and I will share with you.

Don't forget to check out the Oct-Nov Paper Pumpkin that coordinate or you can use them as a stand along project.  I can't wait to see them. Contact me if you have any questions.

Hurricane Irma

Wow what a week we had last week.  We were glued to the weather channel to see where Hurricane Irma was going  to reach land.  It looked like it was headed for the east coast of Florida and we live in Vero Beach on the east coast.  My friend June and her husband Ed invited us to go with them to her son's house in Lakeland on the west coast.  We left home at 4:30 am Friday morning and it took us 4 hours to get to Lakeland which typically takes 2 hours.  So many people were evacuating from our side of the state.   After we arrived and got everything settled June and I decided to go shopping (really we weren't in a storm now right?)

Then out to dinner with our husbands to Harry's (yummy food)  I forgot what this was called except GOOD.

Ed woke us up early the next day to tell us we had to pack up and leave, the storm had changed directions to the west coast (where we were). We got on the road and did not see hardly any traffic.  We did see these National Guard Units gassing up to get on the road to be ready to help where ever needed.

We got home on Saturday morning and kept an eye out on the news until the storm started and we lost power.  I read a whole book "Twelve Days of Christmas" by Debbie Macomber, who happens to be one of my favorite authors.  We were using the lantern and some flashlights to read by.  I decided I wanted to stamp since I had lantern light I could do that.  A girl has to do what a girl has to do, RIGHT?!?  My husband took my picture and put it on facebook I love his caption:

"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night" can keep Frances from working on her Stampin' Up! projects during Hurricane Irma. Here she is working by the light of a Coleman lantern during our power outage. I couldn't help but admire her work ethic while Irma raged outside. LOL

Below is the project I was working on.  I had given my team a challenge to sell $1000 in August and I will send them a gift.  We are always using pearls on our projects and I thought instead of just sending them the package of pearls I would make a cute topper for it and would have it ready when the hurricane  was over.

I used the new Painted Harvest stamp set. It is one of my favorite fall sets.  Item #144783
check it out on my website here!

Thank goodness the storm was over on Monday plus our power is back on, when so many people were without power plus we did not have a lot of damage and felt so blessed.

Sweet Evi

I have a customer that lives in an assisted living home. Evi lives in the part where she has her own apartment so she can do just as much in life as I can. She is adorable. We meet each month in her conference or craft room in the main building to stamp together.  I met Evi at a vendor fair at the home and we just clicked.  We talked about classes and she wanted to sign up right away for my classes.  Sometimes others come, sometimes they don't, so since she is my main participant we collaborate on what projects we do together. She loves to have her friends over for lunches and we do a lot of treat holders and cards. Lately we have been making projects to frame. This were this months projects.  She really liked the HELLO Eclipse framed piece.

This was her August project- Don't you love the way she decorates the outside of her door.  I really enjoy working with Evi. I get as much pleasure teaching Evi as she does taking the class.  It is a special time for me each month.

Here are some other posts about Evi. HERE

Thanks for stopping by and I will continue to share Evi's projects with you each month.  If you want to attend one of my classes if you live in the Vero Beach area just email me and we can arrange it.

Anything-But-The-Holidays-Blog-Hop

I am excited to join this Anything but the Holidays Blog Hop.  When I first read about it I knew I wanted to use the Beachy Little Christmas set (being from Florida it was a win, win for me). I have already been making samples for swaps and working on my own Christmas cards early.

Beachy Little Christmas Clear-Mount Stamp Set  #144857  $20.00
Beachy Little Christmas Wood-Mount Stamp Set  #144854  $28.00

Here are my NON Christmas samples:

I love that Stampin' UP! brought back the 3x3 Envelopes which fit perfectly in the NEW pizza boxes.

These are the 3x3 cards with envelopes that will fit several in the box.  There so many possibilities for hostess gifts, teacher gifts, Sunday School Friends and so much more.   I couldn't resist covering the flap on the 3x3 envelope.

Using the same Beachy Little Christmas stamp set I made this adorable single sided note card.  I love single sided note cards and have made them several times in the past.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to click on the next blog to see what everyone else came up with.
