MDS - Snow in Raleigh NC

It snowed today in Raleigh, we don't get a lot of snow so when it does we take advantage of it and play and eat snow cream and take lots of pictures.

My friend, Jessica and her family were playing in the snow and when I saw the pictures I knew I just had to scrapbook it for her. I used Stampin UP's "My Digital Studio". I made the snowman by using punches, I know that could use some tweaking but it was fun to create.

If you like to scrapbook but don't have a lot of time then this is for you. It will be a great gift to give someone that likes to scrapbook, someone that is not into the hands on paper and ink and glue and of course you can print it out on your own computer or you can have it sent back through my website and get a completed scrapbook in your mailbox in a matter of a couple of weeks.

RAK- Random Acts of Kindness

The first time I ever heard of Random Acts of Kindness is on the Opra Winfrey show one day she was handing out hot coffee to contruction workers in the dead of winter in Chicago and that was her topic of the day to help others. Then when I got involved with different stamp groups on the internet there was always RAK's as we called it for just sending someone a card just because. Last week I started going through Stampin Boot Camp with Sherriff Graff to boost my recruiting skills and my sales. She has a wonderful program which we have projects and activites, homework, etc. and it is Christian based with keeping in mind how we treat others on our earth and how God plays a part in our lives. I wasn't sure I could do it but I am pushing myself and so far I am glad I did. Above are two cards that I am making stacks of for those people in my life that I haven't heard from in a while or maybe someone new that I was to invite to an event. These were quick and easy and I love the square scallop big shot die to make cards with. So if you have been in one of my clubs in the past or been a hostess for me or you are my favorite bank teller or you are the wonderful lady at the post office that always helps me. You may see one soon. Thanks for stopping by....

Haitian Disaster Relief and Stampin' UP!

Stampin'UP! and it's demonstrators have a long history of making a difference in the lives of others--especially when disaster strikes and the need is greatest. The disaster in Haiti is no different.
Here is the plan: From now until February 28, 2010, $2 from every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set you buy will be donated to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund. The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

Product Name

I {Heart} Hearts- clear mount - Item # 118571 - $18.95 (block D recommended) I {Heart} Hearts- wood mount - 117010 - $26.95

Stampin' UP! has raised multitudes of funds through fundraisers such as this for other disasters such as Hurricane Katrina and the Tsunami as well as Ronald McDonald House and the Susan B. Koman Breast Cancer Fund and the American Heart Association. This a great opportunity to show your support for the people of Haiti in their time of need. Just drop me a email to place your order. Thanks for helping me make a difference.

UPDATE: Quilting projects I have been working on...

I am on a roll, I love this project, here I show how the pieces layer so you can first sew an x in the middle from corner to corner then attach the sides together. The next picture is of the not quiet finished bag. I know it looks rough but you will see when I finish it will be cute cute cute. Thanks for stopping by.
Aren't these so dang cute, I have been working on some quilting samples today to show at my customers at stamp camp this coming weekend. The scallop squares are so easy to cut 8 pieces of cotton fabric at a time, this is a quilters dream. Contact me for a demonstration or a playdate. Lets quilt together, I do have a class Jan 30th at 9am to make a bag at my place. Cost of class is $25.00 in advance. Check my su website under events for details.
These are the flowers I cut 2 plus the batting all at once. So quick and easy.
This is after I stitched the layers and tied them together. I love pink and black together.
This is after tying the flower to my leadership bag it is really cute.

Quilts Made using SU die cuts- Leadershp Display

These are quilts that were displayed at Stampin UP Leadership conference (from demonostrator Jill Olsen's collection) a couple of weeks ago in Phoenix. They are beautiful and made with SU dies using the Big Shot, it is so easy. If you are a quilter already you will want to get our dies to make your quilting quick and easy. When I got home I had to try something (on a smaller scale) so I made quilted flowers bag embellishments and I have started a quilted bag. It is so much fun to pick out coordinating fabric and see how it looks against each other. I know you will like these samples as much as I do. Thanks for stopping by.
More to come... stay tuned

SU Leadership highlights

The best part about going to SU Leadership conference is you make friendships from all over the country. From left to right on this picture is Me, then in the middle is Rene from New York, and on the right is Dacia from Clemmons NC., Dacia is on my team and this is the second year we have roomed together. This picture was taken by the bike taxi driver (they may call it something else) Zora, who was really nice and gave us a little tour of downtown Phoenix after she picked us up after dinner.
This is a peek at the Momento Hall where we get to shop for logo items. On the table you will see a card tree that is a neat way to hold your cards for display and the cute sweater with our ribbon made into rossetts.
These at my new SU 'flip flops, now when I walk on the beach I will be stamping out Stampin UP! in the sand. :) There is a beach towel too.
Don't you just love these cute bags we purchased at leadership? The first 5 customers that book a workshop under me will get a bag of their own. Email me to book your own party!
