Sneak Peek - Occasions Catalog

A Nice Cuppa- is one of my favorite new stamp sets.

It is hard to tell by my photo but I used Smoky Slate for my background card stock.  I cut out the tea pot with the matching Cups and Kettle Framelit Dies and the tea bag I cut out of vellum and punched a small heart from the Confetti Hearts Border Punch and added the Bermuda Bay Bakers Twine and the heart type steam pieces were in that same die group.  The circle was cut from vellum and the dotted designer paper if from the Coordinating DSP Have a Cuppa Paper Stack.  I love it when all they have all the products to match. NO guessing on my part.

You are going to love the new Occasions Catalog along with the new Sale a Bration catalog where you get a free product every time you spend $50 from either the new catalog or the annual catalog. You can start ordering from both of the new catalogs on January 5th.

Weekly Deals 4/8/14 - 4/14/14 & Just Because

Just Because

Do you ever buy a stamp set because you like just one stamp?  Well that is that way I felt about A Dozen Thoughts. I have seen some really cute cards using the Just Because stamp.  I finally purchased it and now I see a lot of potential in the rest of the set.

This is a "case" from Chris Kolly, I like the clean lines she has on a lot of her cards.  But there is a story here.  This is the card Chris made and I was going to use it for one of my Stamp a Stack class last week.

I used the Petite Petals in a card I made at the library on Tuesday and I was prepping for my class on Wednesday night and could not find this stamp set. I looked high and low for it and was so frustrated.  So I decided to use the punch only and use Regarding Dahlias for the center and punched it out with Itty Bitty Shapes flower punch (my favorite which is on the weekly deal this week :).  So I finished prepping and packed up my bag and went to bed.

Next morning I was packing the car and guess what my stamp sets and my pearls had fallen underneath the front seat.  UGGGG, how frustrating.  I took them into class just in case they wanted to use them and they decided they liked the solid punched flowers along with the rhinestones that I had substituted.  So it was all good but so frustrating.  Here is my finished product.  Thank you Chris, for your inspiration.

On another note that splatter on the right was to cover a mark I had made but the girls did the same thing because they liked the look.

It is all good, in the end my customers saw two ways to make it their own and I made it work when in a pinch.

This card was one of the cards we made in my Stamp a Stack card class.  I offer this class the first Thursday of the month at Rock Ridge Clubhouse.  At this class you make 10 cards using 2 designs (5 each) for $21.00.
The class starts at 10am.  If you are interested in taking this class be sure to let me know in advance so I can prepare for you.

Have a great week!  Blessings!

Stamp a Stack Class

This week at my "Stamp a Stack" class we made 5 each of two cards that I cased (Copy and Share Everything).  I wanted simple but clean, sharp looking cards and the girls loved them. The first one (butterfly card) I saw on Mary Fish's blog but she pierced around the butterfly but I knew we would not have time to do that with making 10 cards in 2 hours.  I love Mary's clean lines.

Supplies used:

The hexagon card I cased from Dawn  Olchefske , again simple lines but is a very nice card.

This is my class and they had so much fun.  So glad that my Stampin' UP! business has brought me so many friends.

Thanks for stopping by. I will be posting some of my classes and workshops this week.

Remember Sale-a-bration continues through March.  Lots of free stuff, and we all like free stuff.
