This months blog is featuring flower inspiration. We had a beautiful Magnolia tree in our yard Raleigh. I loved the large flowers and the fragrance was nice too. I used the leaves on holidays for place cards. Those large glossy beautiful dark green leaves were great to write names on with a silver or gold paint pen. Then I would tie a ribbon on the end of it. I wish I had taken a photo of it but did not.
Last week one of my friends ask me to show her how to make a card using
the Triple Time Stamping Technique and I came up with this one. I think
it is a good stamp set to use for this technique.
Finished Good Morning Magnolia Card
Step 1: I added all three pieces of whisper white card stock on top of each other and used the stamparatus to stamp on top of all pieces.
Step 2: I slipped Petal Pink card stock in between the Whisper White pieces.
Step 3: I colored in the parts (leaves with Mossy Meadow Blend Markers.)
Step 4: I colored in the rest of the leaves and used a sponge dauber to color in the centers with Petal Pink ink. I used a dark Daffodil Delight blend marker for the center most part.
Step 5: I glued the white parts to the pink parts and used dimentionals in between and my bottom piece of card stock was Mossy Meadow. I hope you liked this fun card.
Last week I offered this class locally! I loved the way it came together. When you order $35 or more from my website before Wednesday night I will mail the cut pieces kit to you when I see your order on line. You will need the Very Versailles stamp set and Pretty Peakcock and Sahara Sand ink pads to make the projects. I will have all the rest cut for you. If you have any questions please let me know.
On another note sometimes I am inspired by leaves or vines etc. I offered this class last week and everyone loved it. The stamp set Very Versailles is a bit vintage and I love the handwritten words for a background.
I love the single sided cards for a quick card to send and the full card was fun to make too. I could not help but make a MINI CURVY KEEPSAKES BOX DIES
I cut it twice once out of Pretty Peacock and one from Sahara Sand and stamped the handwritten part on the flaps across from each other. I cut off the two opposite Pretty Peacock and Sahara Sand flaps and put the two pieces back together on top of each other and used Tombow liquid glue to hold them together.
I cut it twice, once out of Pretty Peacock and one from Sahara Sand card stock and stamped the handwritten part (in Sahara Sand) on the flaps across from each other and the vine in Pretty Peacock. I cut off the two opposite Pretty Peacock and Sahara Sand flaps and glued the two pieces back together on top of each other. I added the tag from the die set and Sprig punch. I loved the way it turned out.
Thanks for stopping by! Make sure you hop on over to Tracie's blog and see what fun ideas she has for you. NOTE: I am having technical difficulties and you may have to cut and paste a few of these if they are not underlined. I apologize in advance.
Thanks. Frances
