Washi Tape is so fun to use!

Well I bit the bullet and went to my first real "CROP"  this weekend and had soooooooooo much fun.  We had to take prizes to swap and when I saw a lunch bag on Pinterest using washi tape I knew I wanted to make one.  I folded the bottom half of the bag up and taped down the length of the bag, letting the washi tape hang over the side and then add more washi tape on the opposite site and tape sides touching. I hope that is clear.   I stamped yum and attached and put my picnic supplies in what fun.

This is the little tag I attached so the recipient would know how to use it.

Back to the "CROP" I walked in with my big shot bag and one of my SU bags and the girls said do you want us to help you bring in the rest?  HA! was I surprised (that was all I had), they seemed to move in for the week.  I had projects for my roommates and my swaps to work on and I knew what I was going to do so I didn't have all that much.  I realized that part of the fun of a crop is to create with others that love what you do.  They were all so generous with their ideas and supplies, they even loaned me an Ott light and a riser (who knew I would need that) I was so clueless but I can't tell you what fun I had.   I will post pics of my projects next week because I don't want to spoil any surprises.

Below is a picture of a quarter of the room.  See all the stuff they have on their table?  You should see the "stuff" they have on the floor, under the table on the side of the wall. It makes my stamp studio look like so sparse.  What fun! Can't wait till next time.

I am packing my clothes and getting ready to go to the 25th Stampin' UP! convention on Tuesday.  I will be posting from convention and bringing back great new ideas to share with you.   Have a great week. Blessings,

I am MAD about Mosaic Madness

The card below was fun and I love the Mosaic Madness set and punch (it is almost like you can't go wrong).  I am loving the Washi Tape and it worked perfectly with the colors I used.  Coastal Cabana in my new fav and I love the way it coordinates well with Daffodil Delight.

Just a little peek at the process and pieces.

The Happy Birthday stamp is from the Bring on the Cake stamp set.  Of course I added those sweet little pearls.

Aqua Rocks........ ie Coastal Cabana, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay etc.

Colors in the aqua family have been my favorites for a few years now and I am really obsessed with it using our new colors, plus living in a tropical area.  I have been painting a lot lately, things like garden benches, flower pot holders, table for my stamp studio/guest room.  Next week I will start on my convention swaps but till then I wanted to share with you some pics of what I have been doing.

This little fence is going on the wall of my powder room.  In case you can't read it  "To the Beach".  I used the Designer Type Photopolymer Stamp Set for the words and the Petite Pennant Banner punch, 1 inch circle punch and the yellow gingham washi tape for the flags on the ends. I glued a few seashells I picked up on the beach recently.  Of course it is late at night when I finished it and I can't hammer nails in the wall but it will go up first thing tomorrow.    :)  You know how we do our best work late at night?

This is the table I purchased at a yard sale a few weeks ago, I had to get rid of my beloved drop leaf table, it just did not work in my space.  So I drug this beat up greenish table home with ugly wooden brown legs!  This is the before!

Next I bought some white paint and went to town.  I painted the knobs aqua I don't think you can see them too well in this picture. The whole table is white (the chair is reflecting the aqua on the front).
This is the after!

My friend June donated the aqua chair to the cause.  I love, love, love this table in front of the window.  Below I have a beautiful view of the courtyard.  But I am ahead of myself, first I want to show you the courtyard when we first looked at the condo.

Sorry about the screen being in the way, but you get the picture, ugly.  Then the day we moved in this is what it looked like.

So much better!  Now below is the view from my table/desk!

You can see my bench I painted and some of the pieces on the fence and the flowers we have added. It makes me happy to look out and create at that table!  I consider it a blessing!

This is dessert at our first dinner party.  I made eclair cake and put it in small canning jars and tied some jute around the jar and added a spoon under the bow.  Then I made paper flowers using our blossom punch.  Everyone liked the eclair cake and our guest took a picture of the presentation. So glad they liked it.

I still have a few more boxes but at least I can walk in my room now without falling on a box. :)
Have a wonderful week!

Blessings!

Mystery Hostess

I know that you are as excited about the new catalog  as I am, I am offering a mystery hostess order this week, so you can add to it and get your name in the hat for hostess benefits!  Anyone can participate;  just go to my Stampin' UP! website at www.franceswagner.stampinup.net and add your order but make sure you use the hostess code    BW2ZM4KQ

If you do not use the code your order will not be linked to the free hostess products. Remember your order will be shipped directly to you.  So after everyone places their order of $30 or more and after we get to at least $150 in orders and we meet the deadline Saturday, June 29th at 6pm Eastern Standard Time I will draw a name out of the hat from those that ordered. I will contact the hostess to pick out her hostess products.

Next Mystery Hostess Party:
When: now- Saturday, June 29 at 6pm
Hostess Code: BW2ZM4KQ

For those that participate I will send you a card in the mail with something stamped from the new catalog.  :)  If you don’t have a catalog yet contact me or go to my website to view it.

The big question is “ Where do you enter the code”- when you are on the page of your shopping bag on the left side you will see at the bottom where it say "Special Offer" the box will read "Do you have a hostess code" It looks like this:

Do you have a hostess code?
Enter it here and click Apply:

This is where you will enter BW2ZM4KQ  in that box, let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for stopping by!
